The story about the alleged assault on Pamela Ahlstedt-Brown, Louisville, Kentucky, was barely covered by the local media.

WAVE-TV reported that Brown, a disabled Army veteran after leaving the Kroger supermarket, was immediately attacked by a carful of women. The event took place last Sunday, and according to Brown, it was a racist attack.
The TV station talked to Brown and reported what she said. From the report, we can see that Brown was backing out of a disabled space, and the vehicle behind her cut her way.
“I get out, and I say, ‘Do you guys need any help?’ and she said, ‘F*** you, you white b****,'” Brown explained. “I said, ‘Hold on, you don’t even know me,'”
‘That’s fine. If you don’t need anything, that’s fine. I’ll get back in the car.'”
As Brown explained, the car’s female driver threw a cup at her and tried to get out of the car to continue the assault.
“I mean, they were beating me, and I was in a fetal position, covering my face, making sure they didn’t get my eyes,” Brown added. Furthermore, the attack was stopped by bystanders. The result was Brown’s broken nose…
“It’s hard for us because we all feel like, well, what if we would have been there? It makes you feel helpless,” said Edward, Brown’s husband. “It was terrible for them and for me to have their mom come home in that condition.”

Browns are afraid that the motive of the assault was racism. According to some people, the attack was racist because the husband is black, and the kids are biracial.
Also, the criminals escaped, so Brown is afraid that the attack will repeat.
“I could have been killed, but I know how to protect myself,” Brown explained. “I mean, I’m a strong person … It doesn’t mean everybody is this strong.”
The Louisville Metro Police Department leads the investigation, but Browns are disappointed by their handling.
For example, the family of the attacked veteran attempted to get the security footage from the attack from the supermarket, but they couldn’t.
Brown said that she talked to the police officers on the same day of the attack and asked for the footage. Even her daughter called the police. However, they didn’t obtain the security footage.
“They told her, ‘You could have got the video from Kroger the first day,'” explained Brown what the police said to her daughter. “And then he followed that up with, ‘Well, a detective has it, so you can’t get it from Kroger.’ So which was, is it? His response was to hang up on her.”
The Independent Chronicle cited an LMPD spokesperson who announced that the department opened an investigation on the assault, and then the courts will make the decision.
“We’re gonna collect all the evidence, present it in court, and they will decide,” the spokesperson said. “A hate crime is an enhancement, in this case, it’s an assault is where we are at at this time. The courts will eventually decide that.”
We don’t have a confirmation from other sources. No other reference was interested in this narration.
Because no one wanted to cover the story, WAVE’s original report shared on Wednesday covered most details. Moreover, there isn’t any information from Kroger security cameras, and no one knows why the supermarket security didn’t intervene.
Regarding all details that we have, all the things went down differently last Sunday. Maybe she could’ve done something different, or perhaps the attackers didn’t classify her as a “white B****.”
However, I don’t think this news should be limited to one story from a local TV Station. If the demographics were slightly different, what do you think? How many times would we have seen that bloodied image of Brown?
On the off-chance Brown’s allegations turn out to be different from what really happened, we will see huge media interest.
