On Thursday, near the end of an hour of lawmaker speeches reflecting on the riot that took place almost a month ago, far-left Rep. and anti-Semite Rashida Tlaib spoke about the “death threats” she has received since being elected in 2018.
At one point, Tlaib had a crying meltdown on the House floor.
She complained that it is highly difficult to be a Muslim woman in Congress.
Things got so much out of control that her speech barely made any sense, so fellow “Squad” member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had to come to comfort her.
The crying session came after she told her side of the story of the January 6th events, even though she was not present at the Capitol during the riot.
The Detroit Democrat whined:
“On my very first day of orientation, I got my first death threat. It was a serious one. They took me aside, the FBI had to go to the gentleman’s home. I didn’t even get sworn in yet and someone wanted me dead for just existing. More came later. Uglier, more violent.”
Each one paralyzed me each time. So what happened on Jan. 6, all I could do was thank Allah that I wasn’t here.”
Tlaib, who previously referred to President Trump as a “mother fu**er”, said that she now lived in fear due to the threats, and added:
“All I wanted to do was to come here and serve the people that raised me.”
She added:
“And so it’s hard. It’s hard when my seven brothers and six sisters beg me to get protection, many urging me to get a gun for the first time. And I have to tell you, the trauma for just being here and existing as a Muslima is so hard.”

On Wednesday, “#AlexandriaOcasioSmollett” trended on Twitter after people realized that the claim that Ocasio-Cortez had a “near-death” experience in the US Capitol riot was a hoax, as she wasn’t even in the Capitol building!
The news was initially released by Republican Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), calling out Ocasio-Cortez who claimed her life was threatened even though there were no rioters in her building.
According to RedState:
“AOC wasn’t even in the Capitol building where all the action was going down. If she was in her office, she was in the Cannon Building which is nearby, but a different building. But of course, many didn’t get the logistics and just assumed that she was in the Capitol building.
According to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who has an office in the same hall as AOC, two doors away, there were never any rioters in their hall so there was never any physical danger from rioters coming in at any point.”
Twitter users found this similar to the case of Jussie Smollett, who made up a story where he claimed he was attacked by two Trump supporters in Chicago. It was later proven that it was completely untrue.
