He explained:
“So, I didn’t exactly prepare for this, but I was walking by, and I hear everyone screaming … and I said, [‘What’s going on?’], and she said, ‘We’re going to help dogs,’ and that’s OK with me,”

Chase Scott, the spokesman for Big Dog Ranch Rescue, shared part of the atmosphere. He said that the guests responded to Trump with a standing ovation regarding their effort to pass the first national anti-cruelty bill. That way, Trump would help save more animals.

During his visit, Trump hinted at something regarding politics and his family. NBC said that Trump shared that his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, could run for the U.S. Senate.

Below you can see a video of how the crowd reacted to this news.

According to the Washington Examiner, Lauree Simmons, the president and founder of Big Dog Ranch Rescue, was the host of the event, and he helped bring the dogs from China to America.

“Her fundraiser aims to highlight China’s dog meat market trade and set a goal to raise $500,000 to help dogs from China escape from the harvesting trade.”

Trumps supported the event and the charity organization.

“[What you’re] doing is so important and so great, and so important, and I’m with you 100%, and you had many meetings in the White House and the Oval Office having to do with saving and helping dogs,”

Since the end of the election in 2020, this is the second time when Trump did a surprise visit. The first time was in February when a couple took engagement pictures in Mar-a-Lago.
