“You know, he has to be diplomatic for some reason,” Behar said about Fauci. “He doesn’t want to upset people. He doesn’t want to step on people’s civil liberties. But I don’t have to be that way. You know what, it’s not that complicated, people. It’s not nuclear physics. All you have to do is get the damn vaccine. When you go inside, wear a mask, even if you have the vaccine. There might be variants around. Wear the damn vaccine. And then get the booster when that time is coming.”

However, Behar continued questioning the complex thing about vaccine messaging.

“I don’t understand,” Behar continued. “This is just to own the libs? Maybe they’re not seeing enough on television the way people suffer when they get this disease. Even though the numbers are going down, people are still dying from it, and maybe they’re not seeing it.”

Contrary to Behar, McCain shared an utterly different opinion about Fauci and said his message about the vaccine represented garbage. Also, she added that the CDC and the White House managed the pandemic terribly.

Moreover, during the debate, McCain highlighted that among the Black American Community was present a vaccine hesitancy and that the women’s main concern was the fertility side effects from the vaccine.

“The fact that there hasn’t been a summit, or a discussion, or figures that people trust on TV to try and help quell some of this, that’s why the conspiracy theories keep growing and spreading,” McCain explained. “And just saying, ‘What you just wanna own the libs?’ And that’s that? Like, it’s not productive, that’s why people keep going into their corners.”

The point of McCain’s explanation was that fear, not politics, caused the hesitancy.

”A lot of people of color have every right to be skeptical of the government,” Behar said. “They have been burnt for generations by various — what should we put it — policies.”

“I’m not saying they aren’t,” McCain interrupted Behar, to which Behar said, “Excuse me, I’m not done.”

“Republicans have reasons to be nervous for others — I’m not trying to judge,” McCain continued without stopping. “I want as many people vaccinated in as many ways, but I think when you come on the show and just say, ‘oh, we’re owning the libs,’ it’s just factually inaccurate about the demographics who are not getting the vaccine.”

The entire situation became intense when Behar said that numerous people who don’t want to get the vaccine watched Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson. McCain said that this was a false claim.

According to McCain, the women who don’t want to get vaccinated are educated women.

“Anti-vaxxers in Los Angeles –” McCain continued speaking, as Behar yelled because she wanted to finish her sentence.
