Twitter Permanently Blacklists James O’Keefe After CNN Expose

Twitter goes against James O’Keefe

The founder of Project Veritas was blacklisted by the platform right after his investigative journalism organization released the bombshell undercover video showing senior CNN staff admitting to using “propaganda.” @Project_Veritas, the official Twitter account, is now suspended.

A Twitter spokeswoman said it was a permanent suspension. It happened right after O’Keefe and Project Veritas humiliated CNN. It was public and everyone saw it.

O’Keefe is now suing the platform.

“I am suing Twitter for defamation because they said I, James O’Keefe, ‘operated fake accounts. This is false, this is defamatory, and they will pay. Section 230 may have protected them before, but it will not protect them from me. The complaint will be filed Monday.”

His organization posted the first series of videos exposing CNN’s technical director Charlie Chester.

In the first footage, Chester said that the outlet’s negative coverage of unproven allegations against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is “propaganda” because the Republican is a “problem for the Democrats.”

“It would be great for the Democratic party to get him out. So we’re going to keep running those stories to keep hurting him,” added Chester.

In another video, Chester admits that his CNN is unlikely to pay much attention to the race of a mass shooter if they “aren’t white.”

It doesn’t end here. Chester admitted that “a bunch of black men” are responsible for violent attacks against Asian-Americans. According to him, this is an issue because “the optics of that are not good” and CNN is “trying to help BLM.”

Chester went on to say that his platform practices the “Art of manipulation” in order to “change the world.”

Here are some of the reactions on Twitter.

The Twitter spokeswoman revealed that the Project Veritas founder was “permanently suspended for violating the Twitter Rules on platform manipulation and spam.”

As written in our policy on platform manipulation and spam, “You can’t mislead others on Twitter by operating fake accounts,” and “you can’t artificially amplify or disrupt conversations through the use of multiple accounts.”

What about the use of multiple accounts? CNN operates the @CNN, @CNNBusiness, @CNNNewsroom, and @CNNPolitics accounts. What about that?
