CBS released a statement on the case, explaining that they are looking into comments made following Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. Osbourne was asked about her impression of Piers Morgan’s stance against Markle. The host got into a heated discussion with co-host Sheryl Underwood.

CBS is canceling at least two shows this week. Production may restart on Wednesday as reported by Variety.

“We are committed to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace. All matters related to the Wednesday episode of ‘The Talk’ are currently under internal review,” the network said on Friday.

Osbourne supported Morgan’s right to share his thoughts on Markle.

“Did I like everything he said? Did I agree with what he said? No,” Osbourne said on The Talk. “Because it’s his opinion. It’s not my opinion… I support him for his freedom of speech, and he’s my friend.”

Osbourne insists she is not a racist.

“I’m not racist… I don’t care what color or what religion anyone is,” Osbourne insisted, “Are you a nice person? That’s what I judge you on.”

Underwood pressed the host saying that by supporting Morgan, she was choosing racist statements over anything else.

“What would you say to people who may feel that while you’re standing by your friend, it appears you gave validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist, even if you don’t agree? Am I saying it right?” Underwood asked Osbourne.

Osbourne asked the co-host to tell her what “racist” comment Morgan made.

It was quite a controversial episode and Osbourne had to issue an apology on Twitter. She said she was “truly sorry” if “anyone of color” was “offended.”

However, the host did attack CBS and Underwood, saying she was “totally blindsided” by the treatment she received during the discussion.

Osbourne claims that she was asked if she would discuss Morgan’s comments. However, she didn’t like the fact that Underwood had prepared a long list of accusatory questions for her.

“I’m a big girl. I’m a professional,” Osbourne said. “However, CBS blindsided me. I don’t know why they did it to me. The showrunners told me it came from executives to do this to me.”
