A terrible incident happened on Friday. A person opened fire on a police officer from Virginia during a traffic stop. The shooting resulted in a dead police officer.

Many reports informed that the Suspect also died due to gun injuries. The police shot him down because he made threatening moves towards the police!
Officer Dominick “Nick” Winum is the officer that died resulting from the shooting. He died at 3:15 pm local time in Stanley, Virginia, and served on the Stanley police force. There he served for five years. Previously he was a police officer at the Virginia state for ten years.
Dominik Winum received awards for a professional and outstanding police officer! Both departments praised him!!
Police claimed that the police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle on Judy Lane, Stanley. While Dominik Winum was leaving the car, the suspect opened fire on him. Following this event, Winum was stated dead at the crime scene!
The name of the Suspect is Dakota G. Richardson from Stanley.
After committing the crime, he left the scene on foot, and he was followed to a barn. There Page County Sheriff’s Deputies confronted him. Richardson made a threatening move, so the police shot him down, and he died!
The police didn’t know why Richardson would want to kill officer Winum.
