Attorney Sidney Powell is fighting back.

Powell assists the Texas group “Defending the Republic” in the lawsuit against defense secretary Lloyd Austin for mandating the COVID-19 vaccine for members of the military.

The lawsuit is supported by 16 active service members and they are fighting for their rights. These guys don’t want the jab!

According to them, the mandate is “unlawful and unconstitutional.”

From Washington Examiner:

Sidney Powell, a high-profile attorney who championed former President Donald Trump ‘s claims the 2020 election was rigged, is suing the Pentagon over its coronavirus vaccine mandate.

On Monday, the Department of Defense announced its 700,000 civilian employees would have a Nov. 22 deadline to get fully vaccinated, according to its memorandum . While the memorandum states employees must be fully vaccinated by that date, people are not considered fully inoculated until two weeks after their second COVID-19 injection, which would mean employees have a deadline of Nov. 8 to get the first jab.

Defending the Republic, Powell’s Texas-based group that filed the lawsuit stated in its press release that it did so “on behalf of 16 active-duty military service members” to back their constitutional rights to refuse inoculation. The group describes the vaccine mandate as “unconstitutional” and “unlawful.”

From the Hill:

Powell’s Texas-based group Defending the Republic announced Wednesday that it had filed a lawsuit against Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on behalf of 16 active-duty service members “in support of their right to refuse” the coronavirus vaccine.

“Through the filing of this lawsuit, we make clear that these service members — those who serve their country with honor — are not the property of the U.S. government, and the Constitution does not allow them to be treated as such,” the group said on its website.

The complaint was first reported by Bloomberg News on Thursday.

The Pentagon mandated all service members to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in late August, immediately after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the vaccine manufactured by Pfizer and BioNTech.

On Monday, the Pentagon said its 700,000 civilian employees will have to be fully vaccinated by Nov. 22.

In September, Powell said “mandates are not laws.”
