This winter had record-breaking winter weather. The weather consisted of snow, ice, and blistering arctic air left Texans without electricity and in the cold for a couple of days.

The responsible one for supplying electricity all over the Texas territory is The Electric Reliability Council. More than 25 million households were in the cold and surrounded by darkness.

This institution has come under fire for vulnerabilities in Texas’s power grid.
According to many experts, Texas could face a disastrous failure with the energy grid. But it was a miracle that saved the Texans from a catastrophe that would have left them without electricity for months.

The New York Post reported that only Texas has its own electricity grid throughout the whole American territory. It was not enforced to weatherize, and it isn’t federal oversight’s subject.

Many people died due to the extreme cold, but we don’t know the exact number.

Schumer mocks Texas!

Chuck Schumer said that this disaster should represent a lesson to Texans. He is appealing that the cause for this catastrophe is the officials’ ignorant behavior towards climate change.

In his statement in Manhattan, Schumer declared:
“The bottom line is, Texas thought it could go it alone and built a system that ignored climate change,”
The ironic mockery lies in words: “I hope they learned the lesson.”

Maybe Texans learned the lesson by the hard way, but Schumer, was it worth the mockery?

He continued his presentation, referring to the fact that everyone needs to consider climate change when you build anything at this point. If you ignore this fact, your people will be trapped just like these ones.

Using these words, Schumer ended his statement:
“When they built back the subways, built back this, built back that, they were going to be resistant to climate changes, and we have to do that.”
