Many pieces of evidence emerged, causing chaos in the trial. One video emerged showing a different side of the primary story that caused chaos throughout the U.S. The CCTV recording shows the other side of the disturbing video in the past.

That was a video that we had never seen before. There we could have seen Floyd’s weird behavior in the shop.
Then, the Star Tribune announced: “Video showed that Floyd appeared animated, a bit unsteady on his feet as he ambled about Cup Foods and eventually bought cigarettes with a suspected fake $20 bill,”

Later, Clerk Christopher Martin testified that Floyd couldn’t speak and look like he was under drug influence.

During his testimony, the clerk had to answer to the Minnesota Asst. Attorney General Matthew Frank’s question: “When you were communicating with him, what was his demeanor like?”

The answer was: “When I asked him if he played baseball, he went on to respond. But it kind of took him a little longer to get to what he was trying to say. So, it appeared that he was high.”

The medical examiner report from 2020 shared that Floyd struggled with many health problems.

NPR had some information about the issue. “A full autopsy report on George Floyd, the man who died after being restrained by Minneapolis police last month, reveals that he was positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19,”

“The 20-page report also indicates that Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death, although the drugs are not listed as the cause.”

However, a couple of autopsies had different results regarding Floyd’s death cause. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office’s autopsy shared that the reason was “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.”

But, Floyd’s family hired another independent examiner sharing that the cause was “asphyxiation from sustained pressure.”

The precise cause of Floyd’s death was crucial for Derek Chauvin’s trial. He was arrested because he kneeled on the victim’s death prior to his death.

However, officer Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.
