NEW POLL: Here’s How The 2024 GOP Field Would Look Without Trump In The Mix

Although it is almost four years until the 2024 presidential election, political handicappers are already evaluating the field for the Republican party.

Even though it is not known whether former President Donald J. Trump will run for president again, he would probably be the favorite if he does. Anyway, any GOP candidate will probably have huge support considering that Biden-Harris’s regime becomes more and more unpopular.

Analytics firm Echelon Insights put together polling data, according to which Trump would indeed be the first choice among Republicans if he chooses to run again with 41 percent of Republican-leaning voters supporting him if the primary were held today.

If Trump is not in the mix, then the polling shows that with 21 percent support former Vice President Mike Pence is currently in the lead, which is twice more than Senator Ted Cruz who has 10 percent support, even though criticism over his trip to Cancun at the same time with Texas power crisis could change that.

In the third place, the score is even between Donald Trump Jr. and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Coming in at 6 percent is former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, yet Trump supporters look at her with disgust and suspicion after she betrayed the former president in an interview with Politico and crowed about Trump’s political decease.

The ambitious South Carolina Governor sought a meeting with the former president last week at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida but was turned down, a very bad sign for her presidential objective.

Despite his trivial ongoing revenge against Trump, back-stabbing RINO and failed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney follows with 4 percent.

He obstructed a winnable election against Barack Obama in 2012, which ended up with four more years of inferno and prolonged destruction imposed upon America in Obama’s second term.

Out of anyone, Romney is far and away the most likely one to waste another big opportunity against Biden.

After that, there are the long shots including Rep. Dan Crenshaw, Never Trump Senator Ben Sasse, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem who all have 2 percent.

Then the bottom feeders follow, including former Ohio Governor John Kasich with dreadful 1 percent. But as we witnessed in 2016, he doesn’t discourage himself easily.

Also, polling at 1 percent are Senators Tom Cotton and Rand Paul, as is Massachusetts Governor Larry Hogan.

Former Secretary Of State Mike Pompeo who did a marvelous job under Donald Trump and helped to bring stability to the inflammable Middle East is also at 1 percent.

2 percent of respondents had some other choice.

By far the majority of respondents, a significant 26 percent were undecided, which is understandable considering that this is a very early stage in the process.
