Experts and US citizens like to make guesses about the leading candidates for each country. Joe Biden won the presidential elections, and people are already thinking of 2024. Who is leading Democrats in 2024? Kamala Harris? This leads us all the way to Republicans.
Here’s what The Daily Wire reported:
Morning Consult and Politico surveyed 595 Republicans between January 8 and 11 — a few days after the US Capitol building riot and two weeks before President Biden’s inauguration.
In comparison to data from late November, President Donald Trump saw a 12% decrease in support, though he remains far ahead of potential rivals. Other candidates saw modest increases in voter preference over the same period.
Here’s how they rank:
— Donald Trump: 42 percent
— Mike Pence: 16 percent (this should be higher; Pence is a great man and would make a great president, in the Trump-Pence tradition) and this figure is actually up 4 percent since November
— Donald Trump Jr.: 6 percent
— Sen. Ted Cruz: 6 percent (again, should be higher, especially since he was President Trump’s most serious challenger in 2016, becoming the last man standing not named Donald)
— Sen. Mitt Romney: 6 percent (no…just….no)
— Nikki Haley: 5 percent (she should be polling higher than RINO Romney)
Morning Consult found that several prominent Republicans — including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Gov. Charlie Baker (R-MA), Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK), Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD), and Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) — received 3% or less of Republican support.
It is too soon to make a prediction, but we do like this one. Former President Donald Trump will do his best to do the right thing for our country. Running for president again looks just like him. But, will he agree to go through the same thing again? I do not think so.
