Most People Watching Viral Video Of Sheep Will Miss The Hidden Lesson About The Good Shepherd

Jesus told us that he is our Good Shepherd, and we represent his flock of stupid sheep.

Of course, Jesus didn’t tell us that way. But, it is undeniable that Lord was right after watching the destiny of the stuck ship.

One video that circles the social media went viral. There we can see the attempt of one young boy to free the sheep from a deep roadside trench. The animal, in panic, struggles to get out, and the boy pulled its leg and released the sheep.

The sheep was free! But, from the exact moment the sheep was free, it bounded forward cheerfully, only to dive right back into the ditch.

We cannot see the end of the event and what happened to the sheep from the video. However, one Twitter account named Victoriano Aizpurú shared everything when it shared the tweet. The caption was “Yo en la Vida” or, in translation, “Me in life.” The tweet was published on April 17.

All those who want to be good Christians, bear in mind that this sentiment is all too relatable.

More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus gave his sacrifice on Calvary, enduring torture and death for the sake of our sins.

Jesus in John 10:11 stated: “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

Jesus did that and gave us his church and the Bible. That is how he will help us rinse our sins, pick up our crosses, and follow him.

However, it is tough to do what Jesus said, and more or less, we resemble the sheep from the video rather than Jesus and his Cross.

I want to tell you that we are repeating our sins!

In Luke 15:4-7, Jesus tells us what he will do for all the lost sheep.

“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost!’

“I tell you that, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

Jesus is very patient with us because he is our shepherd, and he will search everywhere just to find the silver in our souls, which hasn’t been crowded by depravity and vice.

No matter how many times we freed our souls from a specific sin, we fall back in the same dark hole over and over again, but our savior will always help us!
