UVALDE, TX– Reports say that there are 14 dead students and a teacher due to the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Texas.

The shooter is an 18-year-old Hispanic student from Uvalde High School, Salvador Romas. He is now dead.

Also, two police officers were shot, but they will probably survive.

Before the suspect entered the school, he shot his grandmother, prompting the school to lockdown. The grandmother is in critical condition now.

Then, the shooter went into the school and opened fire with his handgun and possibly a rifle. Governor Greg Abbott said on Tuesday, “He shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensibly 14 students and killed a teacher.”

At least two children are dead in the active shooter incident that took place on Tuesday.

ABC 13 News reported that 14 people could have been killed, but dozens were injured. Two patients were taken to a San Antonio Hospital, and a third was waiting for the transfer.

Uvalde Memorial Hospital said, “UMH received 13 children via ambulance or buses for treatment. Two children have been transferred to San Antonio, and one child is pending transfer. Two individuals that arrived at UMH were deceased. No details are available.”

According to the original report, the suspect was taken into custody, but now we realize he was killed by gunshot wounds.

The Uvalde School District in Texas informed us about the active shooter situation that happened on Tuesday at Robb Elementary School.

After 12:00 pm on social media, the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District stated, “There is an active shooter at Robb Elementary. Law enforcement is on site. Your cooperation is needed at this time by not visiting the campus. As soon as more information is gathered, it will be shared.”

Rob Elementary School and others in the district had been on lockdown because of the shot heard near the school. The threat then moved to an active shooter only after thirty minutes.

Later the district stated, ‘’Shooter is in police custody.’’ Other details haven’t been released.

“You will be notified to pick up students once all are accounted for,” the district said.

On FB, they shared, “Reunification Site for Robb Students: Robb Elementary students are being transported to the Willie DeLeon Civic Center for reunification. The Civic Center will be under a Secure Status until all students are accounted for. Parents, please do not pick up students at this time. You will be notified to pick up students once all are accounted for.”

Uvalde is 60 miles east of the southern border with Mexico and 85 miles west of San Antonio, where the population is over 15K people, and the last day of school was supposed to be the upcoming Thursday. The population has 4K students, and 600 were attending Robb Elementary.

This event happened right after the incident, where 11 people were killed and five injured in a cartel shooting and bombing in Celaya, Mexico. In this event, two cartels have been having some problems in that area, and not far from where the attack transpired in Celaya, local authorities found several plastic bags containing dismembered bodies of 3 unidentified people.

The Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel held this territory, but the grasp started to wither after the arrest of the cartel’s leader, Jose Antonio Yepez Ortiz ( El Marro), in August 2020.
