Biden is Asked If He Wants His DOJ to Prosecute Donald Trump. His Explosive Response is a Big Lie.

President Biden tried to mask the truth

A question was asked to President Joe Biden to reveal if he wanted the Department of Justice to prosecute Donald Trump following his exoneration at the Senate impeachment trial on Saturday.

“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that the former president is, quote, ‘still liable for everything he did while he was in office’,” said Andersoon Cooper on Tuesday at CNN’s town hall. “If your Department of Justice wanted to investigate him, would you allow them to proceed?

The framing of the question is that Biden might be asked to sign off on such a Department of Justice criminal investigation and whether or not he would give the permission for it.

“I made it clear that one of the things about — that one of the most serious pieces of damage done by the last administration was the politicizing of the Justice Department,” Biden strangely argued.

“Any of you who are lawyers know, whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, conservative or liberal, it has been more politicized than any Justice Department in American history,” he continued.

This is a huge disinformation that should be double-checked in the mainstream media — although it most likely will be. After the many flagrant violations of due process under the tremendously political Obama administration Attorney Generals Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, the Department of Justice under both Jeff Sessions and William Barr failed to bring any of the key people who had spied on the Trump presidential campaign and compromised his transition to justice.

Barr, actually, disappeared when the former president needed him most and allegedly allowed the DOJ to ‘fast track’ a number of the executive orders issued early on in the Biden administration.

The media portrayal that Donald Trump should be “prosecuted” was boosted by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s dubious announcements about his decision to vote to acquit the former president at the Senate impeachment trial.

“President Trump is still liable for everything he did while in office,” McConnell said. “He didn’t get away with anything yet. We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation.”

“Lawyers inside the Washington, DC attorney general’s office are working to determine if it is legally viable to use district statutes to charge former President Donald Trump for his alleged role in the insurrection,” an ABC affiliate earlier reported.

It was determined by the Supreme Court that presidents enjoy “absolute immunity” from civil litigation. As far as criminal prosecution is concerned, chances are that such an attempt is not going to be successful.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump fired at McConnell for his threat. “He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country,” Trump said, and added he will “back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First.”

“I made a commitment, I will not ever tell my Justice Department — and it’s not mine; it’s the people’s Justice Department — who they should and should not prosecute,” Joe Biden also stated. “Their prosecutorial decisions will be left to the Justice Department, not me.”

These days it looks like  Biden makes a lot of “presidential” decisions. If we judge by Biden’s passive statements, his own Department of Justice is preparing a case to ‘prosecute’ the former president which is discredited even before it starts.
