If we see the Houston Health Department data, 142 fully vaccinated people tested positive on the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus. That represents 0.02 % of the vaccinated residents in Houston, shared The Houston Chronicle.

Numerous surveys shared the possible vaccine breakthrough cases, and this info dates back to January. It is when we got our first citizen to receive the complete vaccination.

If you don’t know what CCP is: that virus causes COVID-19. In fact, that is the coronavirus, originating in China, 2019.

Houston’s chief medical officer, Dr. David Persse, declared that the infected residents, even though they received the vaccine, are not a surprise. It is because the vaccine doesn’t grant 100% protection.

“This vaccine is not dissimilar from other vaccines in that it gives you some level of protection, but no vaccine is 100 percent effective,” Persse explained. “While tens of hundreds of thousands have been vaccinated, in a community that still has viral spread, it’s not too big of a surprise there are a small number of people who have become infected.”

However, vaccinated persons infected with the virus didn’t require hospitalization. Persse explained that their symptoms should be mild.

These vaccinated people received the vaccine by Moderna and Pfizer/ BioNTech. At this moment, the vaccine from Johnson and Johnson is suspended in the U.S. because it caused severe blood clots.

The drug regulators shared that the Pfizer vaccine is 95% effective in protecting you from CCP virus infection. But, Moderna is also very effective, 94.1% effective. But, Johnson and Johnson is 66.9 % effective. These data are collected after two weeks from the final vaccination.

Others Americans experienced infection with the virus besides being fully vaccinated. Similar numbers appeared in Idaho, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, South Carolina, and Washington.

Michigan’s data shows that 246 people tested positive for coronavirus after two or more weeks since they received the second shot. Of those infected people, eleven required hospitalization, and three died. The State Department of Health and Human Services MDDHS’s spokesperson explained that the dead people were 65 years or older.

On March 31, in Washington, more than 100 fully vaccinated people tested positive. From them, eight needed hospitalization, and two have died.

“Finding evidence of vaccine breakthrough cases reminds us that, even if you have been vaccinated, you still need to wear a mask, practice socially distancing, and wash your hands to prevent spreading COVID-19 to others who have not been vaccinated,” Umair Shah, Washington Secretary of Health stated.

According to Dr. Fauci, these breakthrough COVID-19 cases is something expected, and it shouldn’t concern us.

“I think the important thing is to look at what the denominator of vaccinated people is because it is very likely—and what we’re hearing at least indirectly, and we’re certainly going to be confirming that—that that number of individuals who were breakthrough infections is not at all incompatible with a 90-plus percent vaccine efficacy. So, I don’t think that there needs to be concern about any shift or change in the efficacy of the vaccine,” he explained.
