Cruz blocked Democrats’ attempt to take over elections while you were sleeping. The night owl said a big “no” to all the nasty procedures Democrats wanted to sneak in the system.
According to Daily Wire, Cruz made a move to block an attempt by Senate Democrats to push their federal election overhaul bill.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brought up the For The People Act. Millions of people criticized the bill as it is an attempt to take over elections. Schumer brought it to the floor at 3:30 a.m. after the Senate concluded 15 hours of amendment votes on the $3.5 trillion budget resolution. The Democrat did his best to pass the federal overhaul of elections as confirmed by the Houston Chronicle.
A single objection could have shut down the procedure. Guess what… Cruz stepped in and tanked the attempt to push the election bill through the Senate. Cruz also criticized the bill in his remarks on the Senate floor.
The bill would support a federal government takeover of US elections. It was supposed to constitute a big power grab by Pelosi and her friends. Millions of Americans would suffer. This bill doesn’t even target decent Americans. The bill would destroy every reasonable voter integrity law in the US, including the voter ID law supported by most people in this country. Democrats’ bill would allow felons and illegal aliens to vote. Ballot harvesting? The bill has it all!

Senator Cruz is our hero. Americans will always be grateful for all the great things he did in Senate. We need more people like him to avoid major catastrophe. Democrats failed to proceed with their bill and they probably have a backup plan. But we won’t even discuss it.
