A witness identified Kevin Christopher Torres as the suspect. He barricaded himself in his vehicle, but he was later taken into custody.

Torres was admitted to a hospital to get treatment for his injuries. However, none of those injuries was actually caused during the confrontation with the police.

The man was arrested and put into prison. He faces 20 charges, including three counts of premeditated murder and house invasion and abduction, child abuse, and mistreatment of a dead body.

Torres is in jail without a bail.

The sheriff said that there is no link between Torres and the victims, adding that he has a history of mental health issues and drug abuse.
